😍 3 highlights of the year!
🛒The massive launch of quick commerce: The year 2021 will also have been marked by the massive and rapid arrival of "quick commerce". This new type of business, which promises to deliver food shopping in a few minutes (often less than 25 minutes), has established itself in dozens of European capitals in just a few weeks. The market is driven by about twenty players, some of which have raised impressive amounts of money this year: Gorillas: $950m (german ), Flink: $750m (German), Getir: $550m, Cajoo: $40m (French). We should also note the arrival of the American GoPuff, which bought Dija, and the Russian Yango Deli. Who will win the battle?
🖼The explosion of NFTs: It's hard not to have heard about this new phenomenon this year: Non-Fungible Tokens. These dematerialised property titles linked to the blockchain have exploded in popularity in 2021. Paintings, cards, music, videos, photos: the market has seen NFT sales of up to several million dollars like the artist Beeple who sold a work for $69M. Several major brands have announced that they are investing in the field (Nike, Ubisoft, Gucci), followed by artists, entrepreneurs, sportsmen, etc. To keep up with this growth, companies specialising in NFT have raised huge sums of money, such as Sorare and its $680M. The market seems to be in its early stages...
🔮The development of the wellness business: Finally, the year 2021 was marked, among other things, by the rise of wellness-based start-ups. The covid and the questioning of the classical business model has pushed start-ups to commit themselves to improving the wellness and quality of life of employees. The market has been driven by companies that specialise in calculating employee happiness, improving physical posture at work, developing eco-responsible cafeterias, creating spaces for taking micro-naps, etc. These companies include Nap and Up, Fidensio, Brâam and Yogist.
